We’re getting ready for the most important part of the WWE calendar and last night helped set up some of the bigger stories on the Monday night side. I know it didn’t seem like the most important show of the year and the main event left a lot to be desired but stuff did happen at Roadblock: End of the Line. Now that we’ve had so many teases, the reaction for the official reunion is going to be big, but nowhere near what it could be.

We covered that last month at Survivor Series and I don’t even want to imagine how many times it’s been done over the course of the year. I was a huge Shield fan (like so many) but I’m getting tired of the constant reunion teases. Hey, it’s like Shield again! The ending of last night’s show saw Rollins and Roman Reigns laying out Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens (who are reunited AGAIN, making the last few weeks seem worthless) in another mini Shield reunion. The fans at last night’s show did not care about the regulars in the division and it’s not a good sign that someone was cheered for destroying them.Ĥ. What does it say when someone comes back from being gone for no apparent reason, decimates the top stars in your division, and is cheered despite being a heel? Neville came out and attacked the participants in a triple threat match for the Cruiserweight Title, earning a loud THANK YOU NEVILLE chant. I don’t know who this benefits but it certainly doesn’t appear to be Rollins.ģ. This was mentioned when Rollins came back from injury and now we’re only about six months in to the “build”, which has featured Triple H making a handful of appearances and Rollins nearly begging him to come back and grace us with a match. Triple H is, deserved or not, treated as the most important wrestler in the company and no matter what else he’s been doing, Rollins isn’t going to be considered a top guy until he gets this match done. This isn’t a big secret but there’s no way around it. I have no idea who benefited from this or why this is the best idea they could come up with but it didn’t work on any level.Ģ. Not only does Zayn get credit for a win despite just making it to the end of the time limit but he got beaten down for most of the match. What was that? Those were my only words that came to my mind after I saw the Sami Zayn vs. It’s a matter of time and that’s a good thing for all of us.ġ. If you think Banks was popular as the top face in the division, Bayley is going to hit levels Banks can only dream of reaching. That leaves one realistic challenge for the title at Wrestlemania XXXIII: Bayley. Last night, Charlotte won the final match (for this year) against Sasha Banks to win the title again. It’s a rare instance of something interesting in this division so this is a good chance of pace.Ĥ. Neville is the perfect choice to go from the heavyweight division down to the cruiserweights and making him a heel is a really interesting twist. After last night’s triple threat match for the Cruiserweight Title, Neville made his first appearance in a little over a month and a half to attack Rich Swann, TJ Perkins and Brian Kendrick. Neville is back and he has an awesome beard.
While I’m not wild on Cesaro and Sheamus winning the titles, it’s cool to have them get the belts in suck a smart way.ģ. Kofi Kingston went after Cesaro and got small packaged by the still legal Sheamus to change the titles. Sheamus dove over for the hot tag but Cesaro came in without making contact. I’m a sucker for clever finishes to a match and this was one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. Cass could be a big deal going forward and it’s a good sign to have him not lose here.Ģ. Last night was Cass’ biggest singles match ever (as in one on one) and while he lost via countout, it was a one sided match until the countout ending. With a combination of Amore’s talking and Cass’ physical dominance, these guys are just over in every sense of the word. If you’ve watched WWE this year, you know that Enzo Amore and Big Cass are one of the most over acts in all of the company.
